They're thinly sliced pepers I belive :). Depends on if it is spicy. Some chinese diches call for a dried hot pepper whereas some alot of the dishes have not spicy thinly slices Bell Pepper varieties like yellow red orange and green....each bell variety has a slightly different taste (yellow is sweeter than the green bell) and provides color.|||red bell peppers i think????|||They are red bell peppers
