I think its coz the food there has more variety & a lot of them are soup & gravy based which paper boxes can't hold.|||In Singapore you can buy proper container for take out chow mien but usually they provide container when you buy take out.The traditional way was wrapped in a local leaf (dried) when you buy chow mien but through the years, modern container came into practise and it all depend on where you buy the chow mien.
