I've always found that Chinese people don't view vegetarian/vegan food the same way as westerners. Be on the lookout for oyster sauce, which is added to most veg stir fries. Every Chinese menu I've ever seen lists variations of vegetables or tofu in oyster sauce in the vegetarian section of the menu. The safest option is to specifically ask for steamed rice with vegetables and NO (stress this) oyster sauce. Chinese Buddhists have an oyster sauce made from mushrooms which to my knowledge is suitable for vegans - try asking for this. Bon appetit!|||Chinese fried rice should come with eggs, noodle is also made with eggs in it, so you should not have these 2. Therefore you're left with white rice, vegetables, tofu, mushroom. Some restaurants offer rice noodle and they are made with rice flour only so it's vegan.|||Tofu dishes, mushroom fried rice, vegetable stir fry. That's all I can think of, chinese people like to eat meat a lot. You could ask the chef to omit meat in your order.|||Fried tofu and dip in soy sauce or peanut sauce if they have it. Steamed vegetables over white rice although, you'll need to check what kind of broth they use.|||Buddha's feast steamed with steamed rice (not fried)
