is white rice high in carbs?|||White rice is white rice, and rice is nothing BUT carbs. This is not to say it is unhealthy, but if you are looking to lose weight, you may want to avoid white rice or eat it in moderation.

The CNN study above is what is called a health scare tactic or nutritional fundamentalism. Of the 48000 people they studied, they noticed that the heaviest eaters of carbs where more prone to disease. Well yes, the heaviest carb eaters where most likely obese and therefore at greater risk for heart disease.

Carbs, including white rice and bleached flour are completely healthy when eaten in moderation.|||AHHHHHHHHH..

Dont touch that white rice, NO...Bad....

Eat brown rice, its so much better for you. "White rice" is really polished rice where the husk and dark outer layer are polished off. These outer layers are where all the nutrients exist, leaving just the carbohydrate part of the kernel.
