We have some rice leftover from Chinese take-out, but you know it's gotten kinda tough. It's still edible, but not that appealing.|||This works for all types of rice:

Add 1-2 tablespoons of water (preferably hot) to the container (if microwaveable). Cover, making sure you leave a small vent for steam to escape, and microwave for 3-5 minutes. Let the rice rest for like 30 seconds as the rice will be reaaaaalllllyyyy hot. Fluff up with a fork and you're ready to go!!!|||After you take it out of the refrigerator, separate the rice thoroughly with a spoon. Place 3 to 4 teaspoon or water and mixed well. Cover the rice with wet tissue then place in microwave. Put in high setting for 3 to 4 minutes. Voila!

|||I like to add water to the container when I put it away. Then it's soft when I take it out and I can pan fry it in butter. It's very yummy.

Report Abuse

|||add butter and heat up.

Report Abuse

|||feed it to the dog and start fresh

Report Abuse

|||Put it in a colander and run really hot water over it in the sink. Works for me!

Report Abuse

|||You are not supposed to reheat rice

Report Abuse

|||The first answer is the correct one other than frying in butter. Does that ever sound good.

Report Abuse

|||You need to transfer the left over rice in a sealed tupperware before leaving it in the fridge.

Report Abuse

|||put in a colander and pour boiled water over it,but dnt re0heat more than once!!

Report Abuse

|||I always get the best results by putting it in one of those metal colanders; putting the colander in a pot with 2-3 inches of water, covering and steaming for about 4 minutes. But the idea of the wet paper towel and microwaving it sounds like it would work also.

Report Abuse

|||just soak a paper towel and lay it over the rice, microwave. done.

Report Abuse

|||OK the white rice on the side comes with the order, right? To buy it separately is what, a buck fifty? The cost of the energy and time to reheat it is more than the price of a new side order.

Report Abuse

|||add vinegar and microwave.

Report Abuse

|||What I personally do is this
Wet a paper towel and place it over the rice, and then place it in the microwave and microwave it for 2 minutes. It always comes out hot and moist for me.
And trust me about it, I've eaten rice all my life and this is the way i do it and it works.

|||That's not an easy thing to do, but try adding a little bit of water to it, then pop it in the microwave covered for a minute.|||Add a couple TB of water and mirowave 3 minutes or so.

Make sure you have it partially covered with a lid just barely opened to vent.|||Pour hot water over the rice|||This will even work for Minute Rice! soak a paper towel in water and wring it out slightly so it's not dripping everywhere. Put it over the bowl as you microwave it to heat it. It acts like a steamer and it won't leave water in the bottom of the bowl!|||NO DONT RE BOIL IT!! steam it.. left over white rice is good for making fried rice. did u know fried rice taste the best with all sorts of left overs?|||Add hot water or even better soup stock, cover and microwave or re-heat briefly... not fresh but definitely improved...|||I would say just add a tiny bit of water and then stie it up and pop in in the microwave for like 30 seconds or so and keep doing that until it is perfect.|||Add a little water to it and then let it steam for 10 minutes or so.|||Try steaming it.|||Oh god...just make some more|||re boil it in water|||try running some cold water over it for a few seconds then reheat at a low temp.Try not to warm it up in the microwave.|||re boiled it
