I eat out way too much, Burger King, KFC, Chinese take out, buffet...I guess I believe I am not much of a cook, however I am turning a new leaf.
Please tell me, do you have any cooking ideas that are not overly complex and is very reasonably priced (and taste good).
...thank you for your help in this matter.|||Umm.. I'm not sure if your wanting to cook healthy home cooked meals, or just homecooked meals?. But whatever it shall be.. Just expirement, you'll never know if you like something unless you try it. Some may turn out horrible, but some, so tasty! So thats why, you expirement in the kitchen. I cant really give you any recipies because I not sure what type of food you like, But you can visit these websites..|||A lot of the prepared freezer meals are tastey and well priced. Check out the freezer section at your grocery store - you can find lasagne, ravioli, panini sandwhiches, chinese, personal pizzas, mexican and more. They usually take less than 5 minutes to cook in the microwave and cost anywhere from $1 - $5 in the store.
Some more "home made" options might be spaghetti - boil some spaghetti noodles and top with a jar of pasta sauce or alfredo sauce and cheese. If you are feeling especially ambitious - add some meatballs (buy the premade bags of them from the grocery store).
My brother is a bachelor in the air force and swears that Hormel Chilli (canned) can top anything (noodles, chips, hotdogs - whatever) and he always keeps a bag of frozen tator tots on hand, too. Those you just put on a cookie sheet and bake according to the package.
Other simple and inexpensive meals might be pre-cooked bratworst (by Johnsonville) - pop in the microwave and put on a bun; frozen ravioli - found in the freezer section - just boil until they float and add in some frozen broccoli and a jar of alfredo sauce by Ragu. Grilled cheese is super easy, too. How about canned soup - progresso and cambells make some good ones; kraft easy mac, etc.
Consider picking up a quesadilla maker from target (under $20). Keep it on your counter and buy some tortillas - you can top quesadillas with absolutely anything - even peanut butter and jelly - and it takes only a couple of minutes to grab whatever you have in the fridge and throw it all together for an easy, cheap, filling snack or meal.
Hope this helps some.|||bEANS|||Mac and cheese, add hot dogs, veggie dogs are what I add.
Sloppy joes are easy
You can buy cheap canned spaghetti sauce and add your own meat if you need it, and that can go over noodles. Or my ex husband loved when I used that to make a meatloaf, also easy.
Alfredo sauce is real easy even though it doesn't seem like it would be.
Mashed taters are real easy as well.|||Smithfield, Hormel, Armour have packages of PRE-COOKED beef tips, roast, pot roast, pork roast, chicken, ham, meatload. Use this for your meat dish with a side dish or two of vegetables, rice, or potatoes. You will find these packages near the meat section, they are not frozen.
Tyson's fully cooked whole chickens are delicious. I serve them often with S&W canned sweet potatoes, Stove-Top dressing, microwave chicken/turkey gravy, a vegetable, cranberry sauce, and Pillsbury Microwave Biscuits which are better than I can make. A frozen pie defrosted and fully cooked. Perfect for one or two people at Thanksgiving or Christmas.

You can buy a roasted chicken or two at your supermarket's deli section. They also have all types of salads and vegetables already cooked.
Another thing you can do is cook in a slow cooker or a crock-pot. You put the meat meal into the crock-pot in the morning and it cooks all day long. The meal is ready at dinner time. Be sure to read the booklet that comes with the crock-pot. Here are some recipes for you:

Some people like cooking with a fry pan and oil (any kind) or butter depends on how healthy you want to eat. Crockpot cooking, oven baking, pressure cooker, deep fryer, roaster. Microwave, panini maker foreman grill, etc.. or all of the above and a few good cookbooks or a printer to print out some cooking tips and recipes from the internet. Good luck. Its really pretty easy, get a kitchen timer too, helps you to not burn your food!
